NOT QUITE NOWHERE AND WITH APOLOGIES TO WILLIAM MORRIS
Eyes that do not see – but should
This Culvert at Combe Pafford, the Arts & Crafts Village in Torquay, should have been in appearance something like the traditional ‘Babbling Brook’ with natural banks, maybe with Water-Cress and Water Insects. However, and for whatever reason, it was constructed as a Concrete Culvert of very little, if any, aesthetic effect. It is thought to be most unlikely that any self-respecting Architect would have constructed anything quite as crass.
